Also suitable for conger and other toothy fish.

This is a traditional blue shark trace that consists of a wire and heavy mono combination. The bite part is made of 2 feet of 275 lb test American Fishing Wire, 49-Strand knotable wire. The rubbing part, connected through an AFW brass swivel, is made of heavy 200 lb mono to provide protection against shark’s abrasive skin.

This trace is meant for shark anglers who need a reliable and reusable trace. The full wire trace provides extra safety when the shark rolls over and wraps itself around in the trace. The trace consists of two pieces of 175 lb test American Fishing Wire, 49-Strand knotable wire, connected through a brass swivel to prevent kinks. At the end there is a heavy duty AFM coastlock snap swivel so a bite trace can be attached. In case of damage to the trace due to a bite by a large shark, only the bite trace needs to be replaced, so this trace can be used for may years to come.
